POSITION SUMMARY:

The Planning Officer is responsible for supporting Homes Victoria delivery teams, and Community Housing Providers, to achieve planning approvals for social and affordable housing projects. The right person will use of their strong knowledge of the statutory planning system, capacity to productively engage stakeholders and a creative solutions-oriented approach to planning and design issues.

The role will provide key input into the feasibility and master planning phases of social and affordable housing projects and assess the planning aspects of social and affordable housing funding applications. The position will work collaboratively with a range of planning and design teams within Homes Victoria, provide advice to Community Housing Providers and engage with the councils and the Department of Land Water Environment and Planning. The role involves working with technical consultants and contributing to planning advice to senior Homes Victoria leadership.

The statutory planning team of Homes Victoria are key facilitators in the rapid delivery of the State Government's largest investment in social and affordable housing.

  • Experienced in applying your statutory planning expertise to progress complex development projects
