Family violence employers 

  • Gippsland Women’s Health is based in Sale and is a service which provides access to information, education and programs to reduce barriers and advocate for Gippsland women. They are the lead organisation for gender equity, women’s health, prevention of violence against women, and family violence leadership in Gippsland.  
  • Quantum Support Services established in 1987 and based in Bairnsdale, provides support and care across all local government regions in Gippsland to address the social services needs of the community. Quantum provides a range of services throughout Gippsland including homelessness services, crisis accommodation, community connections and family violence support for women and children. Quantum also leads the Orange Door (Outer Gippsland) initiative.  
  • Gippsland Lakes Complete Health is based in East Gippsland and delivers an extensive range of accessible health services and health promotion activities, including family violence services to victim survivors and their children.
  • Latrobe Community Health Services offers more than 120 programs including family violence services. It provides women and children family violence counselling, child and adolescent sexual assault counselling and mainstream and Indigenous Men's Behaviour Change Programs.
  • UnitingCare Gippsland provides counselling and support to both women and children who have experienced family violence.
  • Gippsland & East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-Operative Ltd (GEGAC) has been serving the Aboriginal and wider East Gippsland communities for over 45 years, providing childcare, cultural, education, employment, health, housing & welfare services.
  • Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation was established as an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation in 1992 to improve the social, health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people in the East Gippsland region of Victoria.
  • Yoowinna Wurnalong Aboriginal Healing Service (YWAHS) is a specialist family violence service which delivers services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living within the catchments of Wellington and East Gippsland Local Government Areas.
Other employment opportunities in the Outer Gippsland include courts, refuges, state government, local council and community health services, educational institutions, and legal services.
