Shepparton and surrounds

Named after the sprawling river that flows through the region, Goulburn is famous for its superb produce, stunning bushland and friendly locals. A vibrant and progressive region with a culturally diverse population Goulburn has it all.
Shepparton, the region’s largest city, is probably best known around Australia for its SPC tinned peaches. But it’s perhaps most loved by locals for its multicultural spirit and thriving arts scene.
Goulburn spans the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta and Taungurung people. There’s opportunities to explore the Bangerang Cultural Centre, a meeting place for Indigenous artists, visit local street art, or the recently constructed Art Gallery overlooking the lake which houses one of Australia’s leading art collections. Shepparton also holds an annual music festival and one of Victoria’s longest running regional art festivals.
Goulburn is also home to beautiful Yarrawonga, which lies on the Murray river. Explore the river beaches and walking tracks or enjoy a variety of water-based activities in this inland aquatic paradise.

Shepparton’s median property prices over the last year range from $304,000 for houses to $250,000 for units. There are plenty of affordable rental options at only $320 per week for a house and $255 per week for units.

There is a broad range of education services to choose from including a TAFE, LaTrobe University and the University of Melbourne having campuses in the city. There are plenty of gyms across town and lots of opportunities to get outside with vast walking, running and cycling tracks available across town and through bushland.
