Western Victoria

Wimmera South West
The Western District (Wimmera South West) is home to some of Australia’s most spectacular coastline, as well as forests, plains and ancient rock formations. Not to mention the welcoming communities that offer a fantastic rural and regional lifestyle.

With Warrnambool, Portland and Port Fairy along the coast and Hamilton, Horsham and the Grampians further inland, Wimmera South West offers a great supply of residential land, outstanding retail and commercial activity and many educational opportunities.

The region’s economy offers a growing diversity of opportunities for people considering a sea or tree change, including work in fishing and agriculture, tourism, retail, education, health care and professional services. Renewable energy is also on the radar as a provider of future career options.

Warrnambool is considered one of the most liveable cities in Victoria with low unemployment rates, great access to doctors and allied health services and lower house prices. The median house prices are very affordable at $324,000 in Warrnambool and $285,000 in Horsham.

Wimmera South West also boasts access to both TAFE and university institutions - the renowned Deakin University has a site in Warrnambool.
Unsurpassed access to the natural environment and great outdoors, affordable housing, access to high quality services and a safe community makes this a great choice for people at any stage of life.
