Family Safety Victoria will collect, use and disclose any personal information you provide via this portal for the purpose of facilitating employment outcomes in the family violence sector. Additional personal information may be collected from nominated referees for the same purpose. Your consent will be ordinarily be sought before referees are contacted.

Third party employers will be able to view any personal information that you have provided in an application for a role with that employer. You also have the option to submit your CV for third party employers to view via the portal. This personal information is only disclosed to third party employers for the purpose of facilitating employment outcomes.

You will be able to access and correct your information by logging into the portal. You can also remove your information from the portal. If you remove your information, it will not be visible to portal users, but it may be held in the portal’s servers for up to six months.

Some information collected through the portal will be used for the compilation and analysis of usage statistics. This information includes job data, job views, application counts, job shares and new member data. This information is collected, used and disclosed for research purposes. No individuals will be identifiable in any disclosed data.

Personal information that you provide or is provided by third parties will be handled in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2012 (Vic), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Public Records Act 1973 (Vic).

Family Safety Victoria’s Privacy Policy outlines how we handle personal information, including details on how you can seek access or correction of the personal information that we hold about you. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how you can contact us and how you can make a complaint if you think we have breached our obligations under the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2012 (Vic).
